This is new college romantic suspense series from the โSinners and saint seriesโ author Veronica Eden. I was curious about Levi, Colton and Wren from the time I had met them in โRuthless Bishopโ and โSavage Wilderโ.ย I was waiting to know more about them. This book is the first in the Crowned Crows series following a gritty brotherhood of antihero bad boys and the feisty heroines. The plot continues across the next novels and each book in the series should be read in order.ย
In this Crowned series we meet โKingโ of Crows. Wren and his band of brothers run the town. Their bond runs deeper than blood. Rowan, a scholarship student at Thorne Point Universityย comes to crowned boys looking for help. Her brother Ethan has disappeared and she is trying to find him. This brings her in the path of Crows.
This series has its secrets but also the friendship built between the characters is everything. Secondary characters were the highlight of this book. Jude, Levi, Colton, Pippa, Isla and Queen_Q. These characters were written so well with a hint of mystery that makes you want to know more about them.
Relationship development was sort of doomed for me. Characteristic traits of Rowan werenโt highlighted well. It felt like they formed a bond purely based on physical relationship. Devlin from โTempting Devilโ still rocks my world. ย Plot is deliciously intriguing. Narration style is good. It was wonderful seeing Fox and Maisy again.
Overall, great introduction to the world of โmysterious keysโ. Would love to see how the rest of the plot unfolds and to learn more about Colton, Jude, and Levi.
